T-Cell Count

These events always make me feel uncomfortable although I laugh at most comments and actually thought Tom Arnold had some of the best lines, because of his self-deprecation.

I have to say that the funny comedienne really hit below the belt on the T-Cell comment.

What does everyone else think? AIDS is no longer a gay disease, geez!!!

I thought it was hilarious. It was definitely a shocker though.

that was one of the best jokes in her set, imo.

That was brutal! Even the dais were looking shocked! She went hard. That and the Robin Quibbers molestation jokes were the most brutal ones there. Well unless you were Kanye West watching and her the joke on his mom.

I liked the T-Cell count joke better when Lisa Lampanelli made it awhile ago about someone else, at a different roast.
same with the "Chris Brown" joke. Lisa made that one at the Larry The Cable Guy roast.

It does definitely sound like a Lisa Lampanelli joke, and more her style since she's a horsed-faced broad with lots of gay friends. From a beautiful unknown like Whitney it felt wrong, out of left field, and uncomfortable. I didn't think Mario was all that crazy about it, at least not with her saying it.

Whitney Cummings went for broke and she definitely nailed it! Her set, Gilbert's and Greg's were the best of the night IMO.

And the AIDS joke was not below the belt... AIDS may no longer be just a gay disease... but it first became known for spreading like wild fire because a bunch of nice "gentlemen" liked to get to together in bath houses across the country and have a lot of unprotected sex with numerous partners. That's just history, that's where the gay/AIDS reference comes from.

Comedy isn't supposed to bee 100 percent wholesome and politically correct. Just by asking is it hitting below the belt you're saying comic's shouldn't go certain places. Plus it's a *beep* roast, the whole point of it is supposed to say awful *beep* about the other roasters because they're going to do the same thing to you!

Whitney Cummings is a relatively new comic on the scene and she is filthy, her style is similar to fellow master comics like Jim Norton and Dave Attell who have mastered the style that is now known as "Cringe" Humor. Where the joke will give you a double effect of making you feel uncomfortable while laughing

So if you didn't like the joke, that's OK, Cringe humor is not for everybody. But I don't think it's fair to say it "hit really below the belt". Comedy is one of the last true places to be politically incorrect and say what you really feel. When people start asking those type of questions without really thinking about what they're saying it gets on my nerves.

Whitney has spent a lot of time with Chelsea Handler too so that helps.

I thought the T-Cell comment was trashy and wrong...but I admit it was clever...and it is a roast
