Visit the ACTUAL plant where Chevy Volt batteries are built

The press seems to think every plant producing batteries for electric vehicles is a "Chevy Volt" battery plant. Accuracy in reporting around plug-in vehicles is pretty low in the press today.

Last year we saw stories about the bankruptcy of A123 batteries, with Volt's name attached (but of course no A123 batteries have ever been used in Chevy Volts.)

More recently there have been stories about the slow-to-start up Korean LG Chem plant in western Michigan (and again, GM has no contract to buy batteries from there.)

In reality, Volt's batteries are built in a GM plant in Brownstown, Michigan. Here's a tour of the ACTUAL plant where Volt batteries are put together:
