Pretty much unequaled for ANY product (much less a $35,000 auto), the new Tesla Model 3 has inspired 400,000 people to deposit $1,000 apiece just to reserve a place in line for a new Tesla electric car model that won't even be built for another year.

Many of those order will falter, people won't be able to come up with the rest of the $$, also
to be able to sell this amount of Tesla 3's, Tesla will need to rapidly hire/scale even bigger
than it's current 'artisan' model.

History has shown no such thing. Your Tesla predictions are just like all the other Tesla "failure" predictions folks like you have been making for years. None of them have come true. Tesla's doing fine.
400,000 pre-orders doesn't look like failure to me.
