I know what they were going for with the actor they cast as his son but...

they shouldn't have gone in that direction. They went for the type of guy that is the complete opposite of his parents in looks and characteristics. I would have rather they cast someone like Niles' and Daphne's son who just happens to have a mind of his own that clashes with Frasier. The actor leaves a lot to be desired too.
