I would give this a 7.5 or 8, everyone else?

I think films like this aren't for everyone, with that said, no film is for everyone. The start of the film was a little dull for me, but you can't always expect for things to really heat up like that. It has some pretty emotional and special moments, great performance from the whole cast. It didn't keep me glued to the floor exactly though and thats where my problem is. But for someone to say it flat out sucks, that would be off, all that means is that it isn't your film type.

I rated it 6/10. The best part about the movie for me were the images of India; with its energy, congestion and sometimes it's a beauty.
Take the exotic location out of the film and them the story was pretty routine, basic romance subplots mixed in with people overcoming adversity.

Pleasant but very predictable.

i give it a 7. it's pleasant and quite aumsing. not a great film, but entertaining enough.

I think that IMDb's current score of 7.3 is a bout right for this movie. I didn't really get into any of the characters. Although I must say that those of Judi Dench, Celia Imrie and Tom Wilkinson would have been the ones that they should have concentrated on. I thought it was well-filmed, but that it had too many characters to really do justice to their part of the story.
