Could this be a perfect 0 on RT? Predictions!

It's extremely rare for a movie to get a perfect 0 on Rotten Tomatoes. However, it is the release day and there still isn't a rating.

Pretty remarkable since even Battlefield Earth has 2% fresh.

What do you think this film will get? I predict 4%, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed that this could bring "0% fresh" out of retirement.

reply

Ehhhhhh, I really am hoping for 0 zero but I doubt it happens

The premise of this movie isn't terrible IMO. But they should have made the main character a nerd rather than "developmentally disabled." Good have maybe had something?

Zach and Miri did it right though. Similar premise. People not in porn making a porn. Very good movie.

This movie? Bad ppl working on it. Another waste of everybody's time.

It'll get at least a 2: there are always the Armond White types and the random juvenile college kids who get picked up into the tomatometer for some reason.

reply

5%

Don't be Afraid of the Dark 7/10
Shark Night 5/10

Looks like I was wrong: it's still a perfect 0 with 26 reviews. What's equally striking is how few critics even bothered to review it.

You do have to keep in mind that RT counts average reviews(like a C or 2/4) as rotten, and Bucky Larson did get an average reviews from Dustin Putman, who gave it a 2.4 and he basically said it was a harmless film with decent acting and some laughs, but suffers due to it's rather thin plot and the overdone running gag of making Bucky look like a total idiot. The last film to get a 0% was the remake of One Missed Call(which was a million times worse then this film)

reply

I honestly don't think One Missed Call was as bad as everyone make it out to be! I've seen much worse! It's pretty decent movie compared to a lot of trash I've seen!

Wrath the movie wasn't screened for critics. I listened to a funny podcast from The Spill and they said they were invited to go meet some of the crew of Bucky Larson but told not to ask anything about the movie, that was the one solid rule. They were laughing about it and couldn't believe that was a condition, why else have the people involved with the movie availible to the press?

The movie was made 2 years ago and wasn't released because the studio thought it was so bad they'd lose more money trying to advertise and distributing the movie.

In all honesty, I didn't laugh at all during this movie.

It looks like another movie Main Street might be perfect 0 too.

reply

Yes. It got a 0 for all critics.

reply

That's really an accomplishment.

I was going to make a joke about Tom Brady concentrating on not throwing any more picks this year and winning at least one more ring to cement his place in the NFL hall of fame. The thing is, it's not funny. NFL Tom Brady would never have made something as crappy as this, if he was going to direct a movie it would at least be average.

BTW, I'm no supporter of Boston teams and their annoying fans, but gotta give credit where it's due, Brady slings it like Montana used to.
