Not really funny, had potential but missed the mark
In honesty, these Happy Madison movies of late have really lost steam. I'm not sure what's going on, but they used to be better.
I found the only redeeming factor to this to be Christina Ricci. I think she's extremely cute in this movie - but then, I have a thing for big, brown eyes. No pun intended. Get your mind out of the gutter.
I'm fairly certain that I didn't even chuckle during the entire movie - a feat not accomplished even with Sandler's worst movies, with the notable exception of Jack and Jill. I'm sorry, utter trash, and Sandler knows it. He should be embarassed by what he's been producing and turning out lately - even for HIM, the quality is abysmal. And I normally enjoy Sandler movies, for the stupid, cheap laughs that they are (I tie my high horse outside when I see one of these things - I know what they are, and I know what they aren't, and they aren't ever going to be game changers or oscar calliber films).
Seriously, guys. The last 3 years or so have just been embarassing. I think Click was the last one that seemed like maybe someone other than a mentally challenged chimpanzee wrote it. These guys have the capacity to be funny. This is not reaching their potential. And Christina...you can do better than this.
