Are the houses the same as the ones used in Life With Derek?

Jessie and Toms houses look really similar to the Venturis and Emilys.. but the insides are really different so I'm not sure? Anyone else notice this?

It is not possible that these two houses are the same, since '18 to Life' shot in Montreal and 'Life with Derek' shoots in Toronto

I'm miffed that republic of doyle is gone...that was a really good show...
