Why did Riddick give up being the Necro leader?

Hang on I thought at the end of the 2nd movie he became leader of the Necromongers?

"You keep what you kill" and all that.

Why give up all that?

Or why didn't he just destroy the lot of them from inside them?

reply

Because... the neco's where a bad bunch of dudes.. and they tried and tried to make Riddick 'accept the faith' like go full blown NECRO... half dead?

Riddick didn't want that and he delayed and delayed so they tried to kill him.

Riddick didn't 'GIVE IT UP' the necro's wanted him dead so they can have a new leader.

Vaako was meant to be the leader but he went to the underverse.

reply

Oh OK you mean Vasko died and couldn't become leader. The whole Necromonger story felt a little forced and silly anyway.

But it's nice to know the Kryptonians borrowed their wardrobe.

reply

Nah, vaako never died... he became the holy half dead or full dead 'state' if you watch the movie at the very end you can hear vaako's voice say 'Transcendence'

Which means... Vaako Transcended to the underverse to become a full blown POWER.

reply

I'll have to watch it again now.

reply

Make sure... you have the FULL DIRECTORS CUT edition.

That's the full version.

at the very end, when riddick looks through the window he sees the entrance of the underverse.. and he knows Vaako has stepped through it.

reply

I'll check my copy... I think it's that version. If not I will find it.

reply

what does that mean exactly? was that explained in the movie, or previous ones? underverse and transcendence. so you go through shiny hole in space and you become half dead? also felt like whole necromancer story was half done
