What's with Katie's mother? She's always so moody and manipulative.

And this is coming from a guy!

Am I wrong in this?

The mother was bizzare and rude. I didn't like her at all. And I wish she told off those other ladies better. Pshh.

And not going to her own daughters rush? Lame.

I think all the moms had the same "high school" mentality rather than being mature women in college. Actually, with that maturity level, I'm surprised they even graduated college.

I think it was disgusting that she didn't go to her daughter's rush but DID go to the Delta rush for her daughter's best friend. I don't have kids, I don't know if I'll ever want to have kids but even I KNOW that you're not supposed to act like that. Gross beeeeyotch.

I din't get what the mother's issue was. She mentioned she thought nobody respected her, but what they didn't respect was her bitchy cliquey sorority lifestyle.

Definitely agree. I watched this movie last night and wanted to punch the mothers and their Delta girls in the face. Seriously, what kind of college girls still act like they're in high school? They broke the rules and had their formal cancelled; they should've been mature enough to accept it with their head held high. And then Summer blaming it on Katie. It's not like she purposely set off to tell on the Delta girls. It was bad luck that the lady from standards happened to walk by when Katie was telling Gwen off. The Deltas nd their mothers, including Katie's, were so quick to blame Katie for what Gwen and her girls were doing. It was distasteful and immature, especially on the parents' part.

Katie's mother was acting like a typical "bitch OLD sorority LEGACY" - I am sorry - I lived Uptown New Orleans near by Tulane University - and EVERYONE of the sorority girls were BITCHES/SNOBS- they had money from "daddy to spend"- VERY RICH and flaunted it! I was formally invited to Frat parties, because my brother knew a lot of the guys from the house; their is a bar called the Boot that my brother was a bouncer at so I got to know many of the Frat guys as friends, and they loved my brother (even tho he was/IS an AVID LSU fan, still is) Anyway, I had many invites to the Frat parties and they loved my brother so much from The Boot (bar) they let me invite any friends I wanted to come w/me to their parties - so I DID! Okay this was the early 80's and I was still in high school but I brought at least five friends w/me to these parties; well anyway I had run ins w/the local "sorority bitches from Tulane" - they would question why a high school girl (I was 18 senior year, my birthday is 7/29/66- so I reached THAT age especially bc my b-day was early - I wasn't 17, but I was in the right grade in high school)... they had a FIT because the Frat guys invited me and anyone I wanted to accompany me - but it was handled by the Frat House because they told the snobby sorority bitches that I and my friends were welcome - I thank my brother for that because he had the "connections" and the Frat houses just loved my brother (even though he was an AVID LSU fan, my bro looked out for these guys at the Boot and made sure things stayed "copasetic at the bars, and considered these young guys as "little brothers" he was protective- my brother was 6 feet 5 -at that time; he could be a teddy bear but when the owners needed his help w/the arrogant rich boys from Tulane; lets just say he did his job - nice and "neatly as possible") My brother DID have problems w/some Frat boys, ya know the ones who think and/or thought they "owned the bar", because they felt privileged because of "daddy's money/wallet or daddy's connections to the University", well lets just say the bar owner didn't like those kind because they were the ones who started the fights- they also disrespected the owner himself which really pissed my brother off! Sorry off track - but this movie brings me back memories of my time on Sorority Row and Fraternity Row and The Boot- which is still there btw (and Soro/Frat houses) My brother and I lived like a mile away from Tulane - we lived in b/w St. Charles Avenue and Tchoupitoulas Street - where we could get the BEST Po-Boys from Frankie and Johnny's (I new the owners very well, I was very good friends w/the grand-daughter, and I happened to meet Joe Namath and Leif Garret at this bar - well Leif was a BIG DEAL back then and we got front row tickets to his concert; Joe Namath was my favorite to meet there, but I met other celebrities on my own when they filmed movies down here!! Clint Eastwood, is by far my favorite that I met- he was so sweet and down to earth, we spoke for quite a while thanks to my police friend Marvin; I met Rob Lowe while he was filming a movie "A Perfect Day", this man looks better than ever, he hasn't changed ONE bit, and he clearly didn't have ANY work done; Lowe is just aging very distinguishingly - he was so pleasantly sweet and down to earth as well!! I just got lucky meeting him because I was doing some temp work for a friend who just happened to need me because her worker called in sick-- IT WAS FATE!!! I've met other stars down here in "Hollywood South" is what they are calling us now -- but the list of movie stars I met is too long and I already went off topic - I apologize for that -- but the Katie's mother is so WRONG for doing this to her daughter - I love this movie though, especially the lead actress Lucy Hale - I am a HUGE "Pretty Little Liars" fan, and also think Hale has a great singing voice, the girl is exceptionally talented - I love her country singing voice - Country music rocks because the lyrics always make sense - I found a clip of her singing her latest country song (on youtube) and she really was amazing, her voice just fits right in -- SO MUCH BETTER THAN TAYLOR SWIFT- WHO I DO NOT CONSIDER COUNTRY - BUT I LOVE CARRIE UNDERWOOD - SHE IS THE REAL DEAL AS IS LUCY HALE AS WELL :) AGAIN SORRY FOR RANTING BUT THIS MOVIE BRINGS BACK MEMORIES - HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND !!
