Old hounted house - CHECK
Some scary creature chasing group of young people and killing them - CHECK
moster/warewolf/vampire - CHECK
screaming useless but hot chick - CHECK
kid who's just a weight - CHECK
drunk/drugged/sexist idiot who always gets killed - CHECK
cell phones not working - CHECK
main character who you can totally hate but we know is going to survive anyway - CHECK
twisted ending we all could guess much before it happened - CHECK

i think this is the standard now...for better or for worse. but here's the rub...it works. that's why they use the same formula over and over and over again. try something different and people will just say your being gimmicky.

well not really the house wasnt haunted at all. it was a typical huge house that wastn taken care of.

debateable. the monster was haunting it, but that's a rather wide definition of the word haunted i guess. ;)

anyway, i agree with the op. i liked the ending though.

not really. the monster wouldnt be enve close to it had the mother didnt had trouble with the tire thus the house had nothing to do with monster, rather than the owner of the house was the monster, and from the looks of it, she didnt like it

that's fine. i get it. i'm not one to force any language on anyone, especially not one as silly as english (yeah, i realize it is a frustrating language). but you don't have to jump on the offensive and come off as a jerk, trying to insult me to cover up for the fact that your post really didn't make any sense. now please explain to me what you were trying to say. i just want to know what this movie is about.

Ok. The monster (mother) would not have been close to the house if she wouldn't have had problems with car tire. Therefore the house itself is not haunted/possesed/callitwhatyouwant but the owner of the house (mother) was a monster, and she did not like being one either.

This one is definitely unbelievable to me, especially when in these movies with young people they don't have them on them. A lot of people thesedays have their phones more or less glued to their hand so it's getting less and less believable when they don't have them. I liked the movie enough though.

I only wished it had looked more like the typical werewolf.

She didn't get off easy, this one. Insulted by main girl, abandoned by the boyfriend, and then on top of it, she manages to shoot herself.

I can actually believe this one. More than once you hear someone complain that there's no "connection" or "reception" or whatever the word this is.

Stephen or Sarah? Both of them annoyed me somewhat.

True. The moment she got bitten, the word "Werewolf lore" flashed before my eyes.

I didn't watch during the credits, but if I understand it correctly, she's gonna make Stephen a Werewolf? I hope they'd get along better then her and mother wolf did. But she wasn't fully turned during the fight, perhaps? I need to start watching movies like this somewhat awake.

It wasn't close to the worst horror movies I've seen. Not close to the best ones either. Worked fine until they showed the monster, like so many others.

I don't think so. She and Stephen weren't heading to the safe house. According to werewolf lore, a werewolf would only need the room one night a month (and that seemed to be the case with the mother). In this movie, that was last night. So, she's taking Stephen somewhere so that he's safe and then she will return to the safe house next month and every month.
