Ehm...

Movies without purpose is not my cup of tea. While I admit that, there were some funny moments, but I feel that I could just as well have been staring in the air for the last 1½ hour.

Or perhaps I'm just not smart enough to get it.

What about you? And, if you will respond don't just say 'I like it'. Why do you like(or dislike) it?

I liked this too. It was not a waste of time, it was pretty entertaining and witty. Great ending.

I really enjoyed it. Not just for the funny moments. The idea really interested me and I really enjoyed seeing how it unfolded. The film could've easily led on to more though. I wish I could know what happened after he pressed the big 'button' at the end.

For those who want to believe no proof is needed. For those who cant believe no evidence is enough

Not going to insult your intelligence. Just the mere fact that you are aware that you may not have 'got it' is evidence enough you're an intelligent person.

But yeah, this movie has a lot of purpose. My favorite part of this movie is that the ending is open to interpretation. I like it when a movie doesn't spoon feed you with a "this is how it ends" ending, but gives you enough information to come up with your own conclusion. Kind of like how "The Wrestler" ended. The audience doesn't know for sure what happened to Mickey Rourke's character, but can draw their own conclusions.

If you follow along the movie, and decide "this is what happened" at the end, then hey, that's how it ended to you. If you allow yourself the freedom to draw your own conclusion, then the movie very much has purpose.

If you buy a ticket for a remake, you are the problem, not Hollywood.

Good point arizonabay6. And yeah, i couldn't stop laughing near the end of the movie, it was so damn funny!

i like this interpretation too. i was thinking something similar... but i can't stop wondering - why penises?! what do they symbolize? :D

I think the penises represent a natural force of generation. That's one of the classic senses of phallic imagery, and every time the guy "activates" one of the penises, it creates something completely new.
