seahawks888 the original movie looks better this remake looks cheesy based on the trailer the dinosaurs are completely fake and really cheesy visual effects the film was probably made for 200 bucks dude!

reply

Seeing as its not intended as a 'official remake' to Doug McClures "The Land That Time Forgot" but rather a cash-in on "Land of the Losts" success, here where I live, this film has been renamed to "Dinosaur Island" for the reason in which I stated. I liked it btw, but then again, I love most Asylum movies..

It wasn't too bad because they did not kill off all the Germans and did not have the Germans double cross the Americans, so at least the Germans in this movie were the good guys.

reply

Yeah, I was actually expecting something like that to happen. Was surprised it didn't.

It's a shame; the Burroughs novel is a great action-packed adventure, with some intriguing ideas.

"The truth 24 times a second."

C Thomas Howell seems to be specializing in crappy remakes of classic movies. He screwed up War of the Worlds - TWICE!!

reply

I totally agree. They didn't have to kill Cole off, though.

i saw worst movie, but this one is in my top 20 i think

reply

Yes. This is the worst movie you've ever seen. However it just nudges into 'so bad it's good' territory. Was quite a lot of fun to watch with lots of unintended stupidity and dreadfully dreadful scripting.

Actually at some levels it works quite well.

reply

This is not the werst movie I've ever seen.
The worst movie I've ever seen is another rotten make of a Burroughs book, "A Princess of Mars. (pu) Totally out there not even close.

Nah. "Deck The Halls" was by great lengths the worst movie ever made. This one was bad, but not THAT bad.
