What a terrible story

I suppose the movie is good, but this story is just too depressing. Human beings do not deserve to survive.

it was depressing. it tried for an uplifting ending but the Rape of Nanking was so terrible.

Well, some movies do tend to be upsetting. But it deals with the harsh realities of war. It was an excellent movie.
