Mirror Ball on Tree

I happened on this movie while they were showing the Christmas Tree. They showed a mini mirror ball ornament on the tree in a closeup. I grew up in the 60's and this movie is set in the 60's...And I can tell you for a fact that mirror balls did not come into use till the Disco era of the late 70's. And mini mirror balls did not come about till the 1990's. It was in the very last shot of the tree and could have been edited out easy, so basically the set director and the editor didn't pick up on the way out of date ornament. Do they just go get some kid fresh from film school to do these Hallmark Movies? I mean even a kid should know the mini mirror ball didn't fit the movie of poor people in Texas. Just kinda dumb.

I did not notice the mirror ball, but I could tell that the Christmas lights were not vintage, because the connections between the lights did not appear to be the two twisted wires I remember from my childhood... but at least they weren't mini lights.
As I sit here, I am trying to decide if it is a real memory of a hollow glass ornament that was faceted with some sort of silver coating inside... that would have resembled a mirror ball?

Funny how our mind has difficulty with the recollection of our young memories...just saying

fyi Mirror balls were around before disco, a local ballroom had them in the late '50s when I was 4 and in a wedding. I think they were even around in the 1920's!
You are probably right about the mini mirror balls as ornaments though.

Mirror balls, mini mirror balls - who cares?! The movie was about a budding friendship between two boys that overshadowed race, not about mirror balls.
