Wylie(grandfather)

I have to say that there was a couple moments that really got me in the movie. It was very touching. I have to say that one of them was when Rodney is leaving with his mom and Wylie runs out and say that great part about family. I cried on that note. The actor that played that part did a very good job. IMO Does any body else have a part they liked real well?

I really liked the scene on Christmas Day when the family had had a bad year, and there wasn't much money for Christmas presents... and Daniel wrapped up the catalog cuttings in boxes and handed them out so everyone could have "some Christmas"... it brought back memories of a couple of years when I was a child and we didn't have much under the tree... I found that scene very touching.

... the hardest thing in this world is to live in it...

I also enjoyed the final scene when the grandfather told Rodney he always had a home in Canaan, what fantastic acting! I also liked the subtle crush btwn the daughter (who is very pretty) and Rodney (who is GORGEOUS, imo) - I was hoping something more would happen between the two, but maybe in the sequel (i'm going to see if the sequel is on DVD somewhere).
