Does Tom Delonge know about this do you reckon?
I s'pose he must. Any chance he's going to pop up do you think? ;-)

shareI very much doubt it but that would be cool!
shareI think he's mentioned it in a blog somewhere!
shareI would have thought that they would have let him know that it was happening in order to get his permission to use his songs. I s'pose a cameo *would* be too much to hope for - but I still think it would be brilliant if it happened. :-)
shareI don't think his permission would be needed because they're cover versions and they're not for individual release, just as part of a drama.
sharemark hoppus, his band mate, posts the clips of the cast singing their songs on his blog so at the very least he knows about it....toms never been big with technology so who knows
shareMark Hoppus? Oh that's brilliant. I wonder what they think of the choirs versions.
I just assumed that the BBC would need permission to use the work of somebody not involved in the production - especially as there will probably be a DVD or soundtrack CD at some point.
And it's a bit rough if anybody can just use and rearrange anybody else's songs for their own ends with permission, and royalties etc.
Tonight I thought they completely mangled that old Prince / Sinead O' Connor song and I thought at least it wasn't a "Tom" song or Kyle would have gone mental! :-)
