OK, So when is season two?

Anybody know?

reply

No but i hope it gets a season 2, it looks like theyve set it up for a 2nd series but i think we'll have to wait and see. I'll have a look on the BBC press office website and see what it says

reply

There's plans for a series 2, but weather or not it's been commisioned I don't know.

At first, I thought it was one of those one-off series and didn't think a series 2 would work, but after seeing the final episode last night, I really think there's more questions to be answered and there was a lot left hanging.

Does anyone else agree?

reply

I agree, there are lots of possibilities and questions. Series 2 of ATST would be great, it's one of my favorite series. Crossing my fingers.....

reply

Yep, definitely needs a second season. I know season one is either out, or due imminently on DVD, so perhaps a soundtrack CD would be a nice accompaniment for fans of the show. I know I'd buy it in a heartbeat, but then I do happen to think that Richard Fleeshman has a truly amazing voice, so would buy it for his singing alone. The fact that the rest of the music is truly wonderful as well is just the icing on the cake!

I've been searching for a soundtrack but haven't found one yet. Also, apparently a second series has been planned but not yet commissioned...I really hope the BBC do commission it, I haven't loved a programme so much in ages!

reply

Whilst it isn't a complete soundtrack, you might like to know that the theme song "Can You Hear Me" is available on iTunes, according to Fleesh's blog. I assume it's the theme song; it would be a heck of a coincidence if it isn't, given the song title! Hopefully that means Fleesh has a new CD coming out soon as well! (Big fan, can you tell!? )

Can Michael put up with Layla for an entire second series? Surely the cracks in the 'relationship' are already showing. But the cliffhanger ending points to another outing. Maybe the second series will introduce new characters to stir things up, as in Debbie Horsfield's previous series 'Cutting It', also featuring the great Annette Badland.

they broke up he told her he wanted things to go back to way they were before he met her which means i wanna go back to my wife lol

reply

Hopefully it will get another series, does anyone know the ratings? The BBC has a habit of axing good shows (Such as 'Not Going Out' and 'After You've Gone' etc) so if the ratings for this aren't great then I can see them giving it the chop.

I read on Facebook that the BBC aren't ordering another series. :(

Such a shame as this was great, and makes a change from detective shows or shows centred in hospitals/medical centres.

How disappointing. I loved this series. Feel good factor. And I agree far too many cop and Dr shows. Tedious.

reply

Couldn't agree more... just got Season 1 on DVD and still find myself hoping for a season 2!! You never know, it could happen. It should happen!!
