i recently played the demo on the ps3 and it feels a lot like call of duty. the buttons, the kills, even the way u open up healths. the cinema is really cool looking, but feels a little corny. idk. it seems like a god of war duplicate. kinda pisses me off
Sad I love the demo even though its no where near story wise as the actual Poem, and as for the game play common...Devil May Cry had similar things when it was released and i believe that it was out before and same goes for the fighting style with the exceptions of gun., From what i can tell those who plan on getting this look to Darksiders which has a similar gameplay if something isnt broken why fix it A lot of games adapted the style ,as for a series of buttons for finishers, I see nothing wrong with it.
I agree completely the gameplay can be similar but stories are completely different that would be like I dont want to play any free roaming games because they are similar to GTA
Really? I absolutely loved the demo. Especially the direction. The action and drama was intense. I find it rather curious that you found it corny. In my opinion, this has got to be one of the more promising games of 2010. I'm looking forward to it more than God of War III. Remember, this isn't some unheard of studio. These guys and gals made Dead Space, one of the better survival horror games of the last decade. You should at least be able to respect that. Besides, Hack 'n Slash is a genre: Devil May Cry, Ninja Gaiden, Heavenly Sword, Bayonetta, need I go on. Dynasty/Samurai Warriors are in the same vein as well, just with horrible production values. Dante's Inferno seems to be one of the better.
hahaha wow. i said call of duty because i have been hooked on it and thats all my mind is thinking. what i meant is god of war. yes. its the same as god of war. just different character
You act like ripoffs are necessarily a bad thing. It was a deliberate attempt to bring God of War to the 360 in some form so you should all be grateful. The game is really good too.
And woopdeedoo its not like the poem. You have to see that a loyal adaptation of the poem would not under any circumstance work as a video game except maybe, MAYBE a point and click adventure. THATS IT. The change was necessary. That kind of stuff is for books and movies but playing it would most likely be boring as *beep*! Just touring Hell, stopping to talk with Virgil periodically, no fighting and eventually reaching purgatory and Paradise...not a really good game at all...great book...great movie concept, definitely. Just not a great concept for a video game.
