I'm glad they used REAL MEMPHIS MUSIC

I was glad to hear real Memphis Music used in the show... Green Onions - Booker T and the MGs and Walkin the Dog - Roofus Thomas, to name a few.

Would anyone happen to know the name of the piece that starts to play at the beginning of the show right after Jason Lee says, "Have mercy" in the store and continues while he's talking to DJ Qualls outside? Love that piece...can't think of the name...

Bonnie Prince Billy I See A Darkness was in the background when he searched the house.

Sam Cooke : A Change Is Gonna Come being played as he sorts out dottie and his mom's 'man'.

I hope the producers keep using real Memphis music like Marla Thomas, Al "Grits" Green, Sam and Dave, Otis Redding, The Box Tops, The Gentrys, Isaac "Not Talkn' 'bout Shaft" Hayes and many, many more.

And don't forget the two kings, Elvis and B. B. King, not to mention Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins, Roy Orbison, The Staple Singers, and The Bar-Kays.

The music is the only real Memphis thing about this show. The producers just don't get it.

Since the show is being shot in New Orleans, I'm surprised that they're not using country music from Nashville. They've got the look and feel of the city all wrong, it amazes me that they picked the right music since Nashville is just down the road. I guess somebody educated the producers about the difference in Memphis and Nashville music roots.
