Getting hard to stick with this show
The first season kept me giggling here and there throughout each episode. This season, it seems that they stopped filming humorous scenes, now it's all drama. Damn!

shareI actually like this season more than the first. I feel like there's much better character development for everyone, including the supporting cast. I still laugh a little, but I don't care about that as much.
shareThat's understandable if you're more into drama like Law & Order: SVU. Me, not so much. Well, not lately anyway.
shareWell, as a regular L&O:SVU watcher I must say that for the last couple of years, that show has been more a running joke than a drama (or a crime show, for that matter)...
But anyway, hehe. I enjoyed the second season of Memphis Beat much less than the first one as well. But I don't remember the first one well enough to say whether it's actually because of changes in the show, or that I simply like it less these days. Funny thing though is, that if I had to say what's at the top of my head, I would have gone for the exact opposite: that there's less emotional drama than in the first season. I remember the first season to have had a lot of touching moments, which created a nice symbiosis with the other storylines in the episodes, and I found these moments to be few and far between in the second season.
Although I can also understand the argument that it's less funny, and a bit more forced (Dwight's mom almost became a nuisance, her Southern momma charm way overdone).
Heeeey....I actually like the more recent seasons of SVU. Seasons 9-11 are some of the best ever. But season 12 did suck but I like the new cast change ups.
"Yes, I'd like a cheeseburger, please, large fries and a cosmopolitan!"
