what a great film

From beginning to end, the film had me so involved in the story and the characters.

A must see foreign film for anyone that is looking to steer clear from the awful stereotype "gay movie."

Another movie i suggest watching is "Nico y Danny." A coming of age foreign film with great actors and storyline. Check it out.

Enjoy!

I really liked how the movie didn't cut through the slow scenes (like, when they were just standing there thinking, for example). It let you put yourself in their shoes and feel what they were feeling. I liked it! And Nico y Dani is an awesome movie too, it keeps you glued to the tv for it's honesty in portraying such a raw love!

This molasses-in-January film would have benefitted from a good editor. It might have been okay to linger over the principals as they sat there brooding or staring at each other, but why spend half a minute just looking at a building, or clouds, or the sea, or a completely unidentifiable out of focus object?

I thought it was a true cinematic masterpiece. I loved how slow it was, and at the same time so exciting. Rarely silence in movies communicates so much as in this movie. Probably the greatest gay-themed movie I've seen in my life. All based on a very small budget and a perfect screenplay.

Why on earth do movies this great go unnoticed in the world?

I would also recommend "Contracorriente" (2009) which impressed me almost as much, although in a different direction.

This movie is slow-paced and I like it just so because I think the story needed to move as quietly and slowly as it did for the ending to be truly touching and believable. In the end, love is love and it doesn't matter what you knew before or what will come after... love is love. And like that one friend of Pablo's said, "whatever you do won't change what is to be".
You love who you love and it is alright; that is what I take away with me every time I watch this film. :)

I completely agree. I suppose the movie could be faster but so much of what's conveyed in it is in the subtle facial expressions (amazing, superb acting by these young actors, so believable) that you need it to be slow to get the full impact. I loved this movie, it seemed so real. Can't wait to see other Marco Berger movies. And, by the way, I liked the sound mix very much, with the city sounds in the background "intruding" in the story. Terrific picture.

Yes, you are right and related to what you say about love is love, etc., it's really great to see his plans backfire and Bruno fall in love against his will. Delicious. Bruno actually says in the scene at the end he tried and couldn't avoid it. Also, the water/sand, bucket/viewmaster, Peter Pan symbolism is so charming and childlike, yet complex.

I totally agree: I watched this movie for the first time last night and found the acting very good. The theme is unusual and PLAN B deserves a mark of 9 out of ten.
