"Taking the time to get it right"

Fun fact: Star Trek III came out only 2 years after Star Trek II, and Star Trek: First Contact came out only 2 years after Star Trek: Generations, so that means both were "rush jobs", instead of "taking the time to get it right", like the ENDLESS delays we got for Star Trek Into Darkness and Star Trek Discovery to come to fruition.

Given THAT track record, I'll take "rush jobs" any day over "taking the time to get it right".

(oh, and TNG season 3 was also a "rush job")

What about the hideous season 2? That one should be erased from existence. I think by 3 it started getting better.

Rush jobs are great in the movies. Waiting 4-8 years between movies is horrible. Warcraft 2016 is a good example of long waits not being worth it. Waiting 10 years for mediocre is not fun.
