Ernessa was cool, Rebecca was not

She should have just gone to another school and gotten 'over it'.

Aggreed. Becca was so suffocating and clingy to Lucy. There were times where she even seemed to be downright possessive towards her. It's no wonder that she was turning more and more towards Ernessa.

Teenage girls tend to be that way. They can experience very intense friendships, which are sometimes more intense than romantic relationships. Though Rebecca was clingy towards Lucy, she was understandably hurt by Lucy's sudden rejection of her. The sleazy teacher did correctly point out that so many pent up emotions and hormones were not healthy (a situation he tried to take advantage of). The whole point was that Ernessa wanted Rebecca to feel that sense of isolation and loneliness. And don't forget, teenagers can be very emotional and super sensitive.

Don't let anyone ever make you feel like you don't deserve what you want.

Everyone refers to the teacher as sleazy when I'm not exactly sure if everything we were seeing by that point was real or just in Becca's head.
