A black movie that is worth watching.

90% of black movies are usually unfairly stereotypical. This movie shys away from that. However, this Flick has a couple of things wrong with it, first the generalisation of the entire male race with a comment made by Queen Latifah's mother when she said that a woman can only get a man when dressed a certain way (which is not true), and speaking of the mother she did not look old enough, they should have got an older actress to play the mother.

Second, this film has some corny dialogue at times especially near the end.

What they got right was adding an annoying best friend to complicate things, the movie would be too smooth and perfect without a character like that thrown in the mix.

An unrealistic aspect is the depiction of a famous person dating a non-famous person, in reality these people have major trust and money issues which is why generally they only date other famous people, but i suppose there are rare times when they will date a non-famous person.

The writers and director played it safe, Just Wright is so predictable that it isn't even funny. It looks like the producers watched a bunch of white romantic comedies, copied them and simply just added a main black cast.

Still a watchable Cine though.
