This might sound superficial, but I would have still gone with Paula Patton ( Morgan) because she seemed quite sincere when she came back to him and also she was way hotter than QL. Morgan and common just made a better match.

You're right. It also shows that most people never learn from their mistakes. Basketball Wives is a perfect example. Those women get chosen, and then they also get made out to be crazy or unfit in the end. So much so that I'm sure the Leslie Wrights of the world end up feeling bad for the Morgans.
However, it doesn't make sense that after being left like that anyone would go back just because of looks. Its not like the Morgans of the world don't come a dime a dozen. Which is why I think people like the OP will always miserable In those relationships eventually. Even if he wouldn't choose Leslie, to choose Morgan is just dumb.

Morgan was a gold digging THOT who dumped him when he was down and only came back after his comeback. Jackie (QL) was ride or die for him.
Plus, Morgan didn't care about any of his interests. Outer beauty fades. Once the looks go, there's nothing left to keep the relationship together.
Hence, Jackie = wife, Morgan = side piece.
