he took steves attitude and motions and talk that sean william scott put in the charater and just totally was over the top to the point that the character wasnt even beleivable

i absolutely agree with your list. Steve was just legendary, and Matt was actually pretty sweet (and hot, dont forget freaking hot).

Are we talking from a viewer's perspective, or in terms of which would you rather be friends with if they existed? Unlike the rest of his kin, Dwight seemed to be more of a leader and he actually had the respect of his peers. Steve, on the other hand, had no real friends, and noone took him seriously.

i couldnt put matt and scott with the others. they were totally and undenyably horrible.
What we have with my top three, are characters with their own personalities.
Matt, seriously, i was watching it ashamed that i bought this dvd. matt tryed too *beep* hard to be like Steve, i mean come on, show some original characterization huh.
Scott was very similar to both matt and steve. get your own *beep* characterization and people wouldnn't despise your characters so much.

Steve was funnier but Dwight was loved by everyone, pretty cool and more laid back.
Eric was a really good take on the Stifler family. He wasn't an @sshole, but he wasn't some annoying loser either.
Matt was trying too hard to be Sean William Scott and Scott was the worst Stifler possible. He looked way too old, didn't have any likable qualities and was not funny in the slightest.

The reason why I haven't put Scott on the list is because I have yet to see the Book of Love. Here are my reasons for the listing: Eric is a nice guy and really, really cares for people and is not an *beep* Dwight, because he's still the wild side of Steve, but he's not as much of a dick as him. Steven because he ate dog crap to save a ring, he wanted people to see blue dicks, and he wanted to give everybody a cool after-prom party people will never forget. Matt because he was annoying, his best parts were when he decided to make things right with the band geeks, and when he came out blaring the bagpipes. Oh, and the nut shot with the staff to that snooty rich kid priss.
