Am I the only one who liked this movie?

Ok it did have it's faults. I didn't so much like the acting all the time, especially from stifler, but thats to expect from a direct to DVD movie.

I thought the movie was very well written.

I especially like the sequence where they reconstruct the bible. I laughed out loud when they did that dance from the Breakfast Club.

And whats this about the girls not being hot? Seriously? They were hot.

For a straight-to-DVD American Pie movie, it delivered, I think.

It was funny and innovative at many points, the girls were hot, and the gratuious nudity was plentiful.

I wondered what the idea behind the British girl was. I mean, why was she even in the movie?

And I flat-out hated the CGI moose-rape scene. I was not offended or anything. It just wasn't funny. At all. And it made the rest of the movie less funny.

I'll say this. I thought it was better then the last two films. Naked Mile and Zeta House. But again that's not to hard in the first place.

I liked this movie too. It's certainly the best of the last 4 sequels. The last 2 particularly had such unlikeable characters but this one had some good performances and i liked the characters and i was glad that they all got a happy ending. I agree about the moose rape scene, just not funny and they could have spent the money they wasted on the CGI on some more good music.

I was surprised by how many big names were on the soundtrack for a straight to dvd movie, Nickelback, Katy Perry, Fall Out Boy, not my favourite music but it helps to make movie feel like a bigger affair than some cheap sequel. I'd definitely be up for another one if they come up with something as good as The Book Of Love again.

My standards are pretty low, just look at my name.

But I too found this movie good. I didn't get the british girl either. Was she even british or did the actress think that accent sounded cool and did it for her part for the hell of it?

In my opinion, this film was great. I think the best after the first two American Pies. It was romantic (for the first time after a really long time in these series). Lube's fantasies are hilaroius! And a lot of originality.

It tried to go back to basics by adding little tid bits from the first movie like the Bible and it was set at East Great Falls High School and it had Dog years as a location. and they attempted to mould Scott Stifler around Steve rather then being a completely different character like Erik, Dwight and Matt was. Matt's character was based around the sociopathic Steve but he really performed his role in his own way so It wasn't like Steve. Scott's character was trying to be Steve and I don't think it worked at all.

I liked the Idea they were trying to run here but nothing in particular really stood out and it was B-Grade Acting as you would pretty much be guaranteed to get for such a low budget film but I also think they are getting too try hard with the crudeness of it. Jim had pleasure with an Apple Pie and was caught humping his friend from college but they've just gone too far with it. I thought Band Camp worked pretty well without a misdemeanour at the start of the film.

These types of films need to be made into a story about a few friends who progress in a timeline as the movie goes on. and I think if it's not broke don't change it and it doesn't have to be 100% the same as the Original Film but they can certainly tweak it but keeping it around a similar plot.

They certainly lacked the Schlossberg and Hurwitz touch and it shows Herz as the character writer is nothing without them two as he was contracted to every pie franchisee but it definitely went downhill without the creator's masterful minds.

I just saw American Reunion and OMG don't worry, I found this movie (book of love) much funnier ;) You're not the only one!

I liked it, it was certainly better then beta house

as a fellow British girl, her role was embarrassing, far too many stereotypes.

I didn't like the scene with the moose or the old lady, went into distasteful,
if they had left this out, it would have been better.

I liked how the went back to trace the 'Bible'.

I liked it too,the plot was good, the girls were hot and it was funny! In my opinion it's one of the best movies of the franchise.

This was easily the best of the direct to DVD American Pie movies. It isn't perfect. As others have said, the moose scene wasn't funny at all, and the CGI for it probably cost half the film's budget which could have been spent on better things. But, it has a quality soundtrack and some good casting choices. I particularly liked the casting of Curtis Armstrong, who made his name playing slackers and stoners in 80s high school movies, as an authority figure. A somewhat dubious and creepy authority figure, but still.

This was the only American Pie movie I'd never bothered watching and because of it's 4.7 score I thought for sure it's be terrible but actually yeah I agree with the guy above it's definitely the best of the spin offs.

The other didn't even feel like American Pie films but this one did.
