What's the point? I know the show's been axed and they didn't have time to end it properly, so I'm not going to invest any more time and emotion in it.

Why not see it through to the end? Even if it isn't an official ending?

From what I understand, the Network chose not to order the back nine, and told the creators the final 5 episodes would be held for a while to make a 'second season'. I find this crappy for two reasons- first and foremost, they need time to plan a full arc of a season, and now they have to scramble to end everything much sooner than they thought, so the stories are probably going to be hinky. Secondly, I hate this new thing all the networks are doing by showing a few episodes and then taking up to 3 or 4 months to show new ones, then showing a few more, then taking another break... I don't necessarily have attention deficit disorder, but it's just too hard to remember what's going on- to maintain 'the flow'... Back in the day, a season would last from September to May, with maybe a few weeks around holidays for a break, then a nice cliffhanger, then 3 months to wait for new episodes... but you could still follow along.

If the networks aren't going to take the time to nurture the shows and build an audience, I'm not going to invest my time and emotion in their products. At least with "Happy Town" (another show canceled too early) they're promising to make it a 'complete series' by revealing the mystery killer.
