There are a lot of places on the human body to stab, and with luck, one can survive a very serious attack. Obviously there's a ton of blood loss in this case, but she also would have been delivered to the hospital fairly soon after her attack, which helps. The human body's built to shut down and try to ride out such serious attacks. That said...yeah, that was a brutal attack, and I expected her to be dead afterward, too.

The neck brace wasn't what I would have expected, too. Maybe he did some spinal or muscle damage? That knife was going everywhere, after all.

I was surprised that she survived the attack as well. Those multiple stab wounds looked fatal to me. I guess his immediate call for help might have made a difference.
