Does season 1 have a definitive ending?

I just watched the double episode pilot, and the show looks promising. But seeing that its cancelled after the first season, just want to know in advance, does season 1 (and only) have a proper ending, or does it finish in a cliffhanger that'll never be resolved?

It's a mix of both. Some storylines get thematic and/or emotional closure, while others are left open-ended. But it doesn't end on a completely unsatisfying cliffhanger. It's definitely worth watching all the way through.

I agree. While the viewer's curiosity may not be 100% satisfied, there is plenty of emotional closure in the storylines that are wrapped up in the first season. I was quite satisfied with the final episode, knowing ahead of time there would be no more. (If I had been watching this show when it was originally aired, I would have been frustrated with its cancellation.)

Brilliant writing and great production that shouldn't be missed, just because there is more story left to tell.

I am affraid that anyone watching this is in for a dissapoinment since none of the big questions are being resolved at the end of the first seasson.
Anyway, it was a good show regardless of the end.

No definitive ending at all. There's a bit of a cop-out at the end but nothing is resolved. Extremely disappointing ending.

I thought the ending was carefully plotted some characters escape, others do not and I suspect that the fact that Jess is there as a double murderer is the real reason they don't get to escape. The overall story arc is resolved in a definite fashion, even though we don't see the full consequences.
