So, back at 2016-2017, I binge-watched the entire show...

And from what I've gotten, not only is it way better than the Twilight movies, which weren't exactly terrible, but weren't exactly good either, and the other non-Twilight clones, but the series finale is WAY better than what Game of Thrones provided in season 8. Yes, the show had some hiccups particularly the later seasons that didn't have Elena Gilbert, but at least the main character came back and the showrunners wrapped up the show more competently than what HBO and the showrunners did.
