Situation at the end?

When Michael Grecco is photographing Sunny Lane during the awards show, and while she's leaving he asks her to come back and shoot more but she refuses. Why does he tell her "the computer failed", or as he tells it in the narration "I lied to her about my camera not working"? She looks at him distressed, and decides to go back and take more pictures. I don't understand how this would change her mind.... Anyone else know?

when shooting professionally like that. The camera is usually left hooked up to the computer for direct capture to the hard drive.

That still doesn't explain what changed her mind, she was walking away saying she didnt want to shoot anymore and he apparently lies to her, telling her "the computer broke" or whatever, I dont see how that changes her mind if she wanted to leave anyway....

I understand that the camera is hooked up to a PC for direct capture, but I dont see how lying to her saying the computer is messed up would get her to come back. Plus when he lies saying the computer is messed up, then she changes her mind and goes back to shoot more, whenever they get back to the camera the computer is gonna magically be fixed so they can continue shooting lol?

He was implying that he lost the photographs of her and that he needed to do a re-shoot so he could use her for his book. Obviously while she might not have been in the mood for a photo shoot, she wanted to be part of the book as he's an established photographer (added to that he wasn't shooting porn and thus had a more "legitimate" angle for her that might help her career in other ways.)

Manipulative and pretty shady, but it worked and the photos he seemed to have got of her during that session were probably the best he shot (imo, based on what we see in the doc)

reply

Ahh that makes sense if she assumed he lost all the photo's he'd taken up until then.... That one guy who had won an award toward the end pissed me off, when Michael Grecco asked if he could take some pictures of him with the award he had just won the guy gets all defensive and almost refuses because "[Michael] was going to profit from it".... if it gets your name out there and gets the porn business and its actors some recognition/publicity only good things can happen... and this idiot wont take 10 seconds to stand infront of a camera with his award? He made it seem like Michael was asking Tom Cruise to do a photo shoot for hustler

That's Evan Stone. He doesn't need more publicity because he's already one of the most well-known modern male stars of porn. Probably in the top 5. Grecco's film won't do anything for him but would definitely profit from his cameo. I imagine Stone is probably kind of a d!ck but every facet of show business has them.

Or...

Given this photographer and "documentarian" had to resort to manipulation to get yet another picture of a subject he had taken dozens of pictures of and sort of blindsided the biggest working male name in the biz with "HERE LET ME TAKE A PICTURE OF YOU FOR MY BOOK AND MOVIE THAT WILL MAKE ME $$ FOR FREE", Evan didn't feel like working with a d!ck with a camera he didn't know.

That's my belief and I'm sticking to it.

Agreed. Evan Stone is portrayed as jerk, and he may be one, but these people get paid to have their pictures taken. Apparently the others didn't care about being cheated out of their royalties and he did. If you notice their were tons of "big name" people there who didn't go anywhere near this guy. The people he photographed were A) porn newbies who didn't know any better B) Old school "stars" who didn't give *beep* & C) Random people who were basically just attendees at the convention.
