North Fork vs. Maine

I am watching this movie again (I bought it on amazon instant video based on Josh Duhamel's participation) after first checking it out in the book section of amazon. It seems to me this is supposed to take place in Maine. I started watching this and thought immediately that there is not a whiff of Maine in this film. I had to try to figure out where this could be, just based on the looks of the place, and would never have guessed it where it was. North Fork!
