I mean, they weren't HIDEOUS, but definitely the worst I've ever seen. For those young, fashionable women, I expected better.

shareI believe it was an old fashioned colour called puce, which is a generally unflattering mix of purple and grey. It's ironic that the DVD release tagged this as "The Most Fashionable Movie of the Season" for those dresses were indeed grotesque. I didn't think any of the women's clothing was especially nice during the rehearsal, either. A disappointing movie in so many ways.
