Don't be fooled by the R rating

This has a straight up Pg-13 feel to it(very little violence coupled with zero nudity and profanity), the entire tone of the film seemed to be aimed more towards teens/kids. Any bit of grit this film produces throughout is quickly snuffed out by lame dialogue or cringe worthy scene, watchable, but forgettable. 5/10

The scene where the two truckers beat up that woman is brutal. I would not be surprised if that didn't do it. The rest is straight PG 13.

The rating of a movie is irrelevant (G, PG, PG-13, R). Does more gore, more nudity, more cussing, more overt sexual situations determine the worthiness of a film? Maybe for 13 year-olds. Is "The Wizard of OZ" a lousy film because it's rated G? How about the original "Planet of the Apes"?

The cut I saw of this had the right limits. It's good for teens.

The unrated cut, which I’m re-watching again, has bloodage and boobage and badassage aplenty. On a werewolf movie scale? 8.3/10.

Werewolf cinema is so unappreciated. That’s why so many people think American Werewolf in London is the best lycanthrope film. It’s like thinking Mercedes-Benz is the best car in the world. It’s all they know.
