Rich white men are to blame for this situation
This is a great and shocking film. A film about exploitation. On the surface it is about rich white women exploiting poor African men. But actually, both African men and the white women are being exploited ... by white men (naturally).
Let me explain. Western world (i.e., men from Europe and North America) has exploited Africa for centuries, causing most Africans to live in poverty. So that Kenyan men have no better employment opportunities than to sell their body to rich white women who come there for a holiday.
These same white women have been brain-washed by media beauty standards. They are told by the media that they are too old and ugly to be desirable for a man. And they believe it. So these women see that the only way to get any loving is to buy it from men in poor countries. Doing that they create illusions about real love, but these illusions are shattered, as we see in the film.
I, a white man, feel ashamed for that. I want don't want to be part of this exploitative system. So I'm off to Bangkok.
