Agreed. I thought he was very talented.
I generally dislike child actors because, primarily, they can't act. And they're often cloying and terrible and made to do crying scenes that they clearly aren't advanced enough to pull off. He actually felt believable.
He was like a likeable version of the kid from "Where the Wild Things Are."
Agreed and agreed. I watched it AGAIN because of the kid; amazing.

Natalie Portman became a movie star, so, it gives hope.Don't forget, Joseph Gordon-Levitt was a child actor, too. There are quite a few who make it into adult stars.
I thought Devin Brochu did a great job as T.J. He was so realistic, not like a lot of movie kids with their perfectly coiffed hair and over-acting. share
