Why?

I mean, it looks adorable, and I might end up seeing it, but just why? Can't anyone come up with original ideas for movies anymore? Everyone's making sequals! Is Mumble even going to be in this one?

It seems like you can rarely get an "original idea" approved by a big studio unless you've already made several successful, less original films. Anyway, if you're into originality, I wouldn't look for it in a 3D kids' film. (Or the young adult section of a bookstore)

I can't say I found this too adorable. The trailer I was forced to watch was about the most loathsome thing I've ever seen. I feel like this is going to be one of those movies that uses 3D as a crutch, or a distraction from a poor storyline.

Yea regardless of what anyone says or what review comes out about it, parents will drag their kids to see it because it's "cute" and has penguins in it and can be considered funny.

Easy money. This movie doesn't look like a true sequel and seems like just a quick film to waste time. This movie doesn't seem as the first one and the first one wasn't overly amazing as well.

Maybe it's the same phenomenon that keeps everyone from typing correct english.

It's "sequel", not "sequal".

(I do wonder about the same thing, and am quite fed up with the lack of originality, creativity, etc. these days, especially of the 'big entertainers', but it's just as easy to type the words correctly)

Are you twelve or something? Do you want to feel above someone by correcting an honest typo?
Look, kid, if you wanted to seem mature and smart, you should have just contributed to the topic, and left it at that. Just a tip for next time, bud. :)
