Wasn't sure I'd like this film until...

the krill. They're probably the best part of the movie.

They're my favorite too :P

I liked this movie quite a bit more than I remember liking the first one! I mean, I did enjoy the original...I gave it a 6.5-7. This one is more like an 8-8.5. And yes, the krill had to be the best part! Omg, Bill and Will were ADORABLE...the cuuuutest little things...and had me laughing throughout their scenes. They had such great dialog.

But I also loved Sven (so very adorable, and the accent, ahahaha), the elephant seals, Erik's epic, heartfelt singing, all of the songs...and I found Ramon and Lovelace even more hilarious this time around, too. I kept repeating so many of their lines.

Who couldn't love Svend. He's a great character but he has a hard time telling the truth. Hank Azaria was so funney (sqonk). Ramon and the Three Fugitives (Atticus, Bo and Erik) were so very cute.

Indeed! He was very lovable and sympathetic...you could tell he didn't really want to dupe anybody, but was going along with the whole "flying penguin" hype because otherwise, he'd be all alone. :'3 Hank Azaria did a great job with his voice; loved the accent!! And yeah, that group was awesome, too. >3 The movie was hilarious overall. I think I laughed even more during this one than the first.

I also loved the relationship between Erik and Gloria. One of the most emotional moments had to be "Bridge of Life." What a beautiful song and showed how much Gloria loved her boy. In that part I loved how Atticus sidled up to Erik to comfort his buddy. Given of course Bo's freerunning to go to fetch Lovelace and the rest.

That entire scene was extremely powerful!! Yes...I loved that, too. :') I'm glad we both could fully appreciate this movie. I think it's underrated--too quickly dismissed just because a "dancing penguin movie sequel" might not sound like a terribly good idea to many people on first thought. My favorite characters, aside from the krill, had to be Sven, Bryan and his offspring, Ramon and the gang, and Lovelace. +D

I totally agree. What I did appreciate about the film was it's message of inclusion. That narration at the beginning that's supposed to be Lovelace with, "No matter how big or now small...." It showed how really intricately interconnected we all are as a species. That it took the brute strength of the elephant seals to pack the snow in behind the berg, but it took the stomp of the foot from below from Will Krill albeit the smallest of the ecosystem said a lot. If one of those in the chain disappears, how quickly something might not work, per se. Even Sven was accepted in terms of his dancing. Didn't matter if he was needed Mumble still made him feel included. That is the message the film conveyed to me. And I think the message in this film was better than in the first. While I loved the first, this one is the one I love more. I just watched it only yesterday because I love giving it a watch every couple of weeks because quite frankly, it brings out my happy.

Yeah, wasn't that beautiful? I absolutely LOVED that tiny little Will was the one to finish it all off, that it took the efforts of all of those animals combined in order to succeed. It really is true; no matter how large or small a creature, we all occupy a very important place in the world. Indeed, remove or alter one link in the chain, and everything else will be affected. And Sven was welcomed to contribute as well, yes! :'D I'm with you; it "brings out the happy," has a GREAT message, and is even better than the original--which I also really liked.

I love everything about the film. My favourites would have to be Bryan The Beachmaster and his sons, Atticus, Bo and Erik, and I love Mumble. Always will. But the Krill are funny. And who still can't love The Amigos?
