Oh, that explains it. Because when I hear "Puerto Rican" I immediately think of Rita Moreno which makes me think of "West Side Story" which brings up that awesome song "Officer Krupke" which is sung to a police officer who we all know are frequently referred to as "pigs" which makes me think of "swine flu" which really doesn't have much to do with pigs and is virtually never transmitted from animals to humans, so yeah - he's a total racist and we should probably just burn him at the stake or at least punch his mother in the face or something.

obviously you don't understand the question that i asked. i asked about his joke on the MTV movie awards when he said "there would be no swine flu if we treated the pigs better"
I am not asking about the supreme court or his joke about that peurto rican. i am strictly referring to that single statement.

and no, I'm not a 14 year old, but apparently you are because you watched the show too.
The significance of the "There would be no swine flu if we treated the pigs better" joke is that, when the swine flu was first being reported on, it was said that people were mainly receiving it from pigs. I didn't keep up with anything regarding the flu, so I don't know how humans contracted it from animals exactly, but Jim's basically saying that if the pigs in Mexico had been taken better care of, then they wouldn't have passed the flu onto humans.
