Exploitation (spoilers)

This is the main theme of the story; men's exploitation of this woman because of her body. This has a timeless relevance. Accompanying this theme is that of showing one's self/exposure/being looked at and objectified. Bravo to the director for making the film and telling Saartjie Baartman's sad story. Of all the men who exploited her it was Georges Cuvier who most incurs my wrath. I found the scene where he was dissecting her body for his own curiosity under the guise of science, difficult to bear. I thought he violated her the most.
