Another thing I learned: no matter how much of a "bad guy" you are, planting a bomb in a hotel 3 months ago, taking super-elaborate measures to create a false identity, going back 3 months later to murder a wonderful human being who is trying to help the world have food, and is raising two beautiful children after his wife has died, once you meet a super-hot lady cab driver and get a bad boo-boo on your head, you magically transform into a "good guy" even upon remembering your original mission, even risking your own life to save the guy you originally wanted to take out.

I should have put "spoilers" but please take my advice to heart about maybe being accidentally given the plot if you visit IMDB before actually seeing the moie. It's still worth seeing, so don't let this keep you from seeing it.

Next time realize that if you are going to a message board about a movie you havent seen it is going to get spoiled

reply

I am the one who always yells at people for putting spoilers in their post title.
But in this case '100 things' is a clear indication that it's going to be details from the film, so no sympathy from me. And that's saying a lot.

About being a "good guy"...it was more that he was trying to screw them over cause they left him hanging to dry....that or he really still believes he is Martin.

reply

Exactly, delia19461. This is my problem with Unknown too, that the hero of the film was a bad guy of the highest (lowest?) order, prior to his (as you say) magical transformation. I know he becomes the heroic good guy, but it still doesn't sit quite right with me.

I realise that many film heroes are flawed in some way, but Neeson's character takes that to an extreme. I still think Unknown is a good film, but for me at least, it is slightly lessened because of this.

Couldn't agree more!

reply

Getting to be more and more that way...Like on the series Sons Of Anarchy....The main guy in there runs guns and occassionally has to kill people...But then he's just a great family man who has so much care and concern that you can't help but to want him to come out on top. It's amazing how much of that twisted reality is in shows today.

One other thing we learned....Somehow there's never a cop in around in Germany when there's all kinds of severe action going on. Aren't they like other European areas and have cameras all over the streets to curb crime?

7) When you have a remote detonator that is turned on with the TV remote, you should have a code for deactivating it. Smashing through the wall too high up and trying to deactivate it with your too short fingers is a bad idea.

9) It doesn't matter if you just recited verbatim the exact same language at the exact same time as the other guy claiming to be you, along with personal details about a phone conversation; all it takes is one photo ID for a top scientist to be fully convinced that the other guy is the crazy impostor.

Don't apologize, it's his own fault. It should be obvious that even if there is no spoiler tag, any thread title that's "Things We Learned from [movie]" should be avoided. The whole board should be avoided, actually, yes.

completely agreed

reply

Completely agree, and I am the person who jumps all over people who put spoilers in their thread titles. A) this was not in the title. B) '100 Things...' is fair warning that you will get spoilers if you click.
