Shoulda been a dramedy

I think it being a comedy-drama would've helped it stand out from the CW teen dramas like One Tree Hill, Gossip Girl, Vampire Diaries, 90210 and Melrose Place... really did another one stand a chance?

Ya know, kinda like a lil more serious Ugly Betty, but with the storlines they just barely started to get into
-like the pilots ending scene when he thought he was going to sleep in her bed

Especially given Ashton's comedic and modeling background I think he could've created something really good, not that this was bad, it was just too familiar and cliche'... the pilot as a stand alone was overall good, some of the scenes could've been acted better, but that's not the real problem... it was really the fact that within minutes I felt like I'd seen the overall tone of the show before

With that said, they should've given them longer than 2 eps to find an episode... It's a shame I really liked Sara Paxton and Corbin Bleu in their roles... plus the cast wasn't even bad

I agree it should of been a dramedy and it had some funny one liners though.

"I will wear whatever and blow whomever I want as long as I can breathe and kneel."

oh yeah, I forgot all about that line... was trying to think of a good one liner for the OP... great example
