The scene on the plane (spoilers!!)

Anyone notice... the head vampire (the real one, with all the garlic IV drips) is wearing what appears to be... a cross? Yet, holy water kills him :)

Alright look, there's only one return, okay, and it ain't "of the King," it's "of the Jedi."

Keep in mind though the Iv Drip was keeping him weak, so maybe the cross was part of that too, although at the end he still had it on, so who knows...........

Does it ever explicitly state that crosses are effective on vampires? Holy water is a part of many religions, both monothestic (Christians, Catholics, Protestants) and pagan, (Wicca, Druid) so that makes sense. I always go the feeling that crosses and such were purely for decorative sake in the Lost Boys continuity.

Crosses should be effective. The holy water in LB1 sure was effective against the "Twisted Sister" looking vampire...

And again, crosses and holy water are two different things.

In a lot of vampire tales, the crosses power is based on Faith. Under that theory, the cross on the Alpha has no power, I doubt he was the born again type. Also, that opens the way for other religious symbols to have power. That also fits in with the previous comment about holy water being in several Faiths.
