Much better than ' Lost Boys : The Tribe '

Especially the surprise ending with the modest, unassuming, but oh so lovely Zoe ( Casey B. Dolan ) revealing herself as a wereshewolf !

The many references to the well-loved 1st "Lost Boys" sometimes verge on the poignant that left a lump in your throat.

Why not a new beginning as "Lost Boys : The Underground"?
With Edgar & Allan Frog raising the stakes in their anti-vampire bizness,
with the stealthy and underground help by the lovable wereshewolf Zoe.

In "The Thirst" you surprise yourself into rooting for Zoe (Casey B Dolan) instead of the much vampier Gwen (Tanit Phoenix) !

Sorry, but I disagree. I thought The Tribe was much better.

The original "Lost Boys" was strong on humor.
"The Tribe" was disappointing in this respect.
"The Thirst" reprises the tongue-in-cheek approach.

I thought it was MUCH better than 'The Tribe'. It took itself way too seriously, and was practically just a remake of the first. It just didn't have the same "spirit" as the first movie. Even feldman himself said at Comic-con 2010 something along the lines of "The tribe is an entertaining movie, it's a good vampire film but it's not really a 'Lost boys' film(in it's essence."

I think 'Lost Boys: The Thirst' was a lot better because the humor of the original had returned and it actually felt like a continuation of the series. It of course reminded me of the 'Reign Of Frogs' comic book which was cool. I dig the film it's a lot of fun in my opinion. Is it perfect ? NAH but it is a good vampire film and a decent and real 'Lost Boys' film for the fans to enjoy.

Remember how funny Corey Feldman was in "Bordello Of Blood",
along with Dennis Miller, Chris Sarandon and Angie Everhart ?
Lilith-Angie's reaction to Rafe-Dennis' axeblow that almost
cut off her shoulder was a howl !
For a 4th "Lost Boys", I think he should invite them in, perhaps
in a reprise of the "whorrorhouse" theme, not forgetting the adorable
Casey Dolan as a covert vampire-killer wereshewolf !

I agree. While not as good as the original, The Thirst is a suitable sequel. The Tribe doesn't exist for me.

I'm surprised at the low rating (5.2) it's getting on IMDb, but I'm pretty sure the rest of the world is wrong. I wonder if they watched all the way through...

She didn't bother me in the role she had in The Thirst that shewolf girl. But I've a feeling that they would focus on her more than The Frog brothers in the next one. That's a no go for me. The Frog Brothers should be the only main focus of the series now. Them and what they get up to. No one else. It's them and the nostalgia that comes with them that is important. And no one else (no matter how good looking they might be) can come between us the viewer and that. I love a lot of Corey Feldman's work. Be it his Ninja Turtles escapades in the TMNT movies or his Lost Boys ventures or his comedy roles like The Burbs and other movies. And yes The Thirst IS way better than The Tribe as far as I am concerned. But in a thread I created on here a while back I said I gave the three LB movies to my dad to watch and he liked all of them.

"Losing ground, the fate you feel draws near. Fatality, reality, await the final call"

Wholeheartedly with you.
Frog Bros must remain in command !

However I have a fancy of Zoe following the Bros in their crusade
playing third fiddle, concealing her vampire-busting powers.

Just picture this in a hypothetical Lost Boys 4 :
In the mopping up of a vampire nest, Zoe keeping out of the Bros' sight,
bate the fangs out of a vampire while screaming like a damsel
in distress.
When at last Edgar surged in crossbow at the ready,
Zoe hugged the groggy vampire, conveniently presenting his back
and wringing his neck aside as if he was surprised while trying
to feed, so that our hero could dust him off.

But later, EF would remember something odd under his sole
as he rushed in to Zoe' s rescue : a vampire fang.
How had it gotten there before the vampire even disintegrated ?
Something weird was going on with Zoe in the picture.

Btw, I mentioned "Bordello of Blood" as an inspiration for the next LB,
for the mythological Lilith character.

In LB3-TT, Turned Allan expressed his doubts that the head-vampire Alpha would
be really the ultimate vampire, suspecting there'd be another one, and another
one above in this ever-topping pyramid structure, thus providing another dig at
the Ponzi Schemes !
Why not then a vampire Ponzi-scheme ?

Both sequels are okay but neither are as good as the first one. I think The Thirst is a bit more entertaining than The Tribe, though.
