Yes, actually what the title says.

The plot and premise extremely weak, predictable too. Even bad at some points. The direction ok but what you often get from an indie film.

And JL, is she really considered to be a star actress? I didn't like her, I think she is tremendously overrated - I mean, for the next big female thing in Hollywood, she needs more than a nice sweet face and attitude.

It is so funny that when you write here you find a movie boring, everyone jumps in and says you want explosions(?) and aliens(?). Transformers were very boring, there's no logical argument that we can't find a film like WB boring too.

If you explain it a bit more, perhaps a proper discussion can follow (unless that is not what you want)

She's not the "next" big thing, she's been the big thing for the past four years or so, whether you like to admit it or not...

Therefore, your opinion on the things that she "needs" to be so she can be the next big thing, seems caught up by the facts.

Also, I'm not sure if "sweet" is an accurate description of her attitude, but hey...

I don't know if I'd call it boring necessarily. Not a lot happens in the movie, I will agree with you there. But somehow the movie keeps you watching anyway.

As for Jennifer Lawrence, I couldn't disagree more. I'm almost never impressed with young actors/actresses, but acting-wise, she's a once-in-twenty tears diamond.

It's useless to argue with people who find this film boring. (Too much talking, right?)

It's a great movie. Not everyone is going to appreciate it. I'm glad there are many who find it interesting and moving. It was nominated for four Oscars, including Best Picture and Best Actress, kind of amazing for such a "small" film.

Maybe it takes a more mature viewer to understand it. It stuck with me to this day.
