So the end of this huge dragged out search for Mac's dad ends up just being Matty's Easter Egg hunt. And he never even actually solves anything, he just threatens to quit so she's like, Ok, here's your dad. That didn't make a lick of sense. And it turns out Big Mac is the wizard behind the curtain and he's been pulling all the strings this whole time, setting up Mac's friendship with Dalton and everything after? Man, that is f'n CRAP writing. Completely undercuts everything that makes MacGyver special and what the hell is Hollywood's obsession with connecting and explaining everything? Life is making the most of a random pile of noodles. That's what Mac does best. Now he's just a well placed cog in somebody else's machine.
