You're right, of course, but my point is, what's the difference? Farm animals have historically been treated well by the farmers who cared for them, but agribusiness creates a mentality where all animals are just potential profits. The more future slices of bacon, the more $$$, thus the enforced litter after litter.
I hate thinking about that documentary. I live in NYC, where there a lot of vegans, and I eat meat, but seeing the way those "religious" people treated that animals always makes me physically ill. The corpses dangling from the hangman's nooses...the dead eyes...the bleeding nipples...the desperate cries of agony, the morons who deliberately tortured and inflicted pain on them. All of them, with the exception of the Peta guy, looked like mental defectives.
Most of all, I hate that self-righteous holy-roller community, and the judge who ignored the facts because they are all in the pockets of agri-business.

Gawd I hate when I run into college students wo've been brain washed by academic liberals,, (and yes I've been to college) into believing political correctnest is anything but retarded hippyism..
Livestock aka cattle, pigs, chickens, lambs are created to be slaughtered..
Children in farming communities raise animals to teach them several lessons; how to care for the critters, how to keep them healthy (they want to win that blue ribbon) and in the end it is nothing but food on the hoof..
Because after the judging is done the animals are auctioned off and slaughtered...
If you don't like it, go live on a nice hippy commune.. and while your there feel free to share your blanket with the milk cow...

So do something about animal abuse and stop eating meat. That's what I did 2-3 years ago now. The "legal" abuse on American factory farms is absolutely appalling and I want no part of it.
