The dead eyes really got to me

All those abused sows, just lying there, or standing there, being mistreated day in and day out, having their babies wrenched from them prematurely all had dead eyes.

I'm Jewish, and I lost relatives in the Holocaust, so I don't say this lightly....but some of those scenes of the pigs being caged, abused, maltreated and executed really reminded me of a concentration camp.

I always refer to factory farms as aushwitz for animals. It really is the only experience i think you could liken the suffering to.

When they were herded into those buses and those pens, it gave me flashbacks of my genocided relatives...

Wow, just wow...

And Richard, I'll never understand the sentiments expressed on this board! They are as crass and uncaring as that horrible organic farmer in the courtroom who said he couldn't wait to go home & eat his roast pork sandwich.

Yea, imagine thinking that genocide, the mass slaughter of people, due to hatred and discrimination, isn't on par with raising animals for food. Equating the two does diminish the significance of the holocaust.

Animal life is not worth that of human life. When a pig starts musing about it's place in the world, then we can talk. Until then, a sentient being, and a lowly pig, are worlds apart.

Taking a life for no reason other than hate, is also not on the same page as taking a life for food. Killing for food is the natural order of things. Killing for hatred is something else entirely.

Even if you believe that "Animal life is not worth that of human life"...you can't say that treating animals in that way isn't torture...there are ways of raising livestock in better ways...but that would mean loss of profit for the farmer and more work...God forbid, but a lot of people are raised like this, and unfortunately this may never change...

don't you know there ain't no devil, theres just God when he's drunk...
